Steve -- One thing I have learned--there are a lot of David Drennans! But I would love to compare information. I don't have much information on the David Drennan, born 1737. I have that he lived in Lancaster, PA in 1777, but I do not know where I got that info so can't verify. I don't know where or when he died. My grandfather left a list of descendants, and listed this David's wife's name as ? Lavery or Lawery. I have not been able to connect this name with my Drennans at all. My grandfather's list also said this David (b. 1737) had a son David. I don't know when he was born, but he died in 1842. My grandfather also said his wife's name was ? Miller, but all other researchers show (and have proved) that David's(d. 1842) wife was Mary/Sarah Robinson. So I don't know what to make of my granfather's info, and it makes me question whether or not the David(d. 1842)is my ancestor. My grandfatyher did say this David died in 1842, so there is just some piece (or some marriage) missing. I do know this David was in White Co., Tennessee before 1831, and after 1832 he had moved to Madison Co., Illinois. My information gets much more reliable at this point, because I have the names of this David's children. His son Charles M. Drennan is my gr-gr-grandfather, my gr-grandmother is his daughter Sarah Catherine Drennan whwo married Joseph Knight and lived in Missouri. Do we match? Let me know.
