My ggg-grandfather James Drennan b. 1828 in Ireland was married to Anna Drennan b. 1835 in Ireland.
They had three children, Julia b. 1856 in Ireland; James b. 1858 in NY; John b. 1863 in NY.
John was my gg-grandfather and settled in Staten Island, NY after his parents died later on. I think Julia died young but James lived in Staten Island for awhile but moved on.
Their father, James, owned a hotel/restaurant in Newtown, Queens but when the father dies, the boys are thrown out by their "aunt" which I am assuming is an Ann Drennan that is listed as a servant in the 1870 census that is living with them.
I'm hoping to find someone related to James or Ann Drennan or knows something about the hotel they owned in Newtown. Thanks!
