I have just recently begun my search for desendants of my ggrandfather, Jesse Franklin Drennan, b Ark d Calif; I am showing his father to be William Harvey Drennan b 1842; Tenn, d 1906 Ark; Showing married Martha Caroline Goodwin;

I was just told the following by a cousin. I have not been able to substantiate it yet. .
"GGrandpa Jesse Franklin Drennan is 1/4Cherokee , his mother his mother was Martha Caroline Derryberry (born Broken Bow Reservation, Oklahoma) was 1/2 and she married John William Drennan, her mother was a Derryberry and was 100% Cherokee. We were to check to see if any of them were registered for birth & death dates with TAHLEQUAH Indian Agency, Bureau of Indian Affairs, PO Box 459, Tahlequah, OK, 74464."

I am trying to find a connection to this information; could the Martha C. Goodwin that is on the census; could she be Native American and this person; I do not know where Derryberry is coming in yet.....if anyone has information, please let me know;
