John Drennen, Elizabeth, PA, 1801
I am an Historical Interpretation major at the University of Arkansas, Fort Smith. The University has acquired the home of John Drennen, built in 1836. We know the home has been in the possession of his descendants until the present. I am trying to find out about John Drennen's parents and what brought them to the U.S. from Ireland. John Drennen was born in Elizabeth Pennsylvania on February 5, 1801. He lived in Nashville, Tennessee sometime after 1826, then move here to Van Buren, Ar.
. He went into business with his brother-in-law David Thompson in Tennessee. I believe his first wife was Emily Thompson. I would appreciate any help or information that anyone can give me about his family in Pennsylvania or in Nashville. I would be glad to give any information that I have about his family after he came to Arkansas.
Sincerely,
Martha Siler
