Joan - The Drennan information I have is sketchy, and some of it contradicts what I have found on the internet. I started witha note left by my grandfather. My grandfather referred to William C. as "Calvin." He said Calvin, who was a brother to Charles M. Drennan and son of David and ? (Miller) Drennan, died in Woodville, Illinois. Research I have done on the internet (not verified) tells me Wm. C. was born about 1816, and married to Sarah Ambrose in Macoupin Co., Illinois, in 1839. As far as Charles M. and William C.'s father is concerned (David, d. 1842),my grandfather left a record that David (1842) was the son of David Drennan and a woman with a maiden name of Lawery or Lavery, but I have never been able to find that or find anyone else who had that information. I hope this helps. Your husband and I definitely have a common ancestor. I have the rest of William C.'s siblings if you need them.
