Hi. I am a descendant of Caroline Young, sister of Candace. I have been searching for her for quite a few years to augment the family data which I have on John and Theodocia (Kimball) Young. With the appearance of the 1880 Census on CD ROM, I was able to locate her a few weeks ago in Concord,OH, which led me indirectly to this site.
In a preliminary search for related information I encountered quite a lot on Rolly (Rollin, Rowly, Rowley) Eddy, but very little on Candace beyond their marriage date of 1 May 1854. I presume you know that she was his second wife. Rolly was found in the 1840 and 1860 censuses of Concord, but not 1850.
I checked the 1850 Census for Dresser families living in near-by counties (Lorain, Geauga; there was none in Lake), but Candace was not found in any of them. There are a few more Dresser families in OH in that year, or perhaps she was across the near-by state line, or perhaps her surname was entered in error.
Anyway, do you happen to have a death date and place for Candace? She was apparently living as late as 1888, but I do not have any idea how long she lived beyond that year.
I have considerable information on the ancestry of John and Theodocia, if you are interested.
