How nice to hear from you.
I am a gggranddaughter of Candace Young & Royal William Eddy. Yes, she was his second wife.
Candace Young came to Painesville, Lake Co.,
Oh. at the age of six and lived there for 84 years. Candace was born in Utica, N Y in 1826. She died Oct. 1916 in Painesville, Ohio. She married Royal William Eddy (Rolly) on 01, May, 1854.
Children of Candace Young & R. W. (Rolly) Eddy are:
1.Florence Eddy, (my ggrandmother),2.Helen Eddy,3. Frances Eddy,4. James Eddy & 5. Clara Eddy.
At the time of Candace's death in Panesville. Lake Co., Oh three of her children were still alive, she left sixteen grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren and one gggrandchild. I do have names of my decendents on down from Florence Eddy. I remember seeing my ggrandmother Florence Eddy in1941 when I was 8 years of age. It was just a short time before her death.
This has been a wonderful experienc for me, as my home town was Kirtland, Ohio, but my mother was not able to get into her ancestry study until 1980 & I just completed it this past year.
I do need more info on Theodocia Kimball. I found her mother's last name as Willard. I have her father's name as Samuel Kimball. Ran into a wall after this as there are several Samuel's.
In 1980 the LDS church came back to Kirtland & my mother was contacted my the church in Salt Lake City asking her to be on the welcoming committee when Ezra Taft Benson came to Kirtland to open the new church, I have photos of her with Ezra & others at the ceremony.
If you would like more info please feel free to contact me.
I have Candace divorced from a Dresser. I have no first name. Others also have the same info but we have nothing to support that she really was married to him.
