This is my first time on this forum. My end-of-line ancestor on this line was Joseph Druell/Drusel/Druell/ Drewell. He appeared in the 1850 and 1860 Greene Co., Arkansas censuses and in the 1870 Dunklin County, Missouri census. I am descended from his daughter Nancy C. Drewell, who married George W. Dial, then William Anderson Bird. Here are some of my notes on his family and a copy of the censuses:

MILITARY: Was sergeant in CSA. Co. D, 1 Batt'n, Ark. Inf; Captured and released at battle of Port Hudson, LA.

!PROBATE: Letters of administration 1n 1872 in Kennett Court House, Dunklin Co., MO.

1850 Actual Census of Greene Co., Ark, St.Francis Twp., 28 Nov 1850,p404, James M Poole, Asst. Marshall:

415/446 Joseph Drusel 24 m Farmer b Ky
Mariah " 19 f Ill
Winlock " 2 m Ill
John " 5/12 m Ark
Charles " 2 m "
John " 2/12 m "

1860 Actual census of Greene Co., Ark., Gainsville P.O., p94, 14 Aug 1860:

554/544 Joseph Druell 35 m Farmer pp235 bKy Over 20
Mariah J. " 34 f H'keeper Ill " "
Winlock " 12 m Ill Att sch.
John W. " 10 m Ark Att sch
Martha A. " 9 f "
Sarah J. " 5 f "
Frances " 3 f "
America J. " 7/12 f "

1870 Actual Census of Dunklin Co., MO, p14, Salem twp, dw 26, fam 25, 3 Jun 1870:

Druelle, Joseph 48 m w Farmer $1000/600 b Illinois
Martha 18 f w K'house Ark
Sarah 16 f w At home Ark
America 11 f w Ark
Nancy 9 f w Ark
Manerva 6 f w MO
Melissa 4 f w MO

Joseph married his second wife Susan Allison about 1870 and she had two children by him: Cora and Edward. His first wife's maiden name may have been Bramblett because the two extra children in the 1850 census appear in a Bramblet household closeby a month later.
