Daniel Driskill of Bristol, VA
I have a small New Testament that I bought at a flea market in Knoxville, TN many many years ago.Among other names written in it, there is that of a Dan Driskill, who wrote that he was 18 on 26 November 1889.By checking the SSDI, I found an entry for a Daniel Driskill, b. 26 Nov 1881, d. May 1968, last known residence in Bristol, VA.If there is anyone out there who is descended, or related, to this Dan Driskill, I would be happy to send the New Testament to you.It is is in poor condition, but still holding together. The books was first presented by a Capt. F. F. Freeman, of the ship Colorado, to a William Thomas on 23 July 1871, and it gives the longitude and latitude. If you are related, please email me with how, and I will forward it on.I would appreciate only hearing from those who are definitely related, as I would prefer it go to a member of his family.
