Do you know if William A. Dromgoole, born, 12 JAN 1787, who married Sally Gilbert, might have been in business in Wythe County, Virginia in 1808-1809?
I have a William A. Drumgoole publishing a newspaper in Wythe County, Virginia, with Robert Engledow/Engledove, near Rural Retreat, 1808-1809.Robert Engledow married a Peggy Drumgold, 1799, Wythe County, Virginia.Robert died in Wythe County, 1820, still married to Peggy Drumgold Engledow, with minor children, Robert Oscar, Comiah, and Richard.
I have seen, too, that there was a William Alexander Dromgoole, who married Mary W. Stampley, 12 OCT 1825, being the son of James D. Dromgoole and Frances Alston. There was a sister of this William Alexander, a Margaret "Peggy", but she married a Silas Bowles, 1811, Jefferson County, Mississippi.
I have not been able to connect the Wythe County, Virginia, Peggy Drumgold and William A. Drumgoole, to any of the other Dromgoole family lines.
ANY information would help.
