Hyacinthe Drouin and Mathilde Danis are my g-g-grandparents. Their daughter Rose Melodie Drouin was my great grandmother. She married Noe Landry and had Clara Landry who married Narcisse Charet(my grandparents)in Montebello, Quebec.
The Battle of St. Eustache, 1837, between British troops and French-Canadian Patriots, was the largest clash during the Lower Canada Rebellion of 1837. He lived in Sainte Scholastique, which is in the region of St. Eustache, Quebec and was imprisoned for high treason. He was later freed and reimbursed for the amount of 498 pounds, 9 shillings and 2 pence.
