I found his brother George who is also using the surname DELAWARE, in the 1880 Somerset Co., Maine census.
For some reason or another they changed their last names to Delaware from Drouin. Someone else told me that it might be because they were American Indian. In St. Francis, Quebec there were Many of them.
George ended up in Somerset Co., Maine and his brother Benjamin, aka Abner Delaware ended up living with my 4th grt. grandparents in Brunswick for a while.
My family in Brunswick were also American Indian so I feel they probably knew each other and that is why Benjamin aka Abner ended up there.
That's the latest on the story.
