I am a direct decendent of 10 Joseph DeRouen's. I live in Lousiana, and until I found this site, I knew of Robert Drouin "of Tuileries, France", and his son Robert "the brickmaker". There is a "DeRouen-Lorrain Cemetary" near here, Bell City, La, where many DeRouen's are buried, including my Mother, Jeanne' Marie DeRouen VaSalle, died 5/24/2001, and Bazilene Bonin DeRouen, widow from New Iberia, LA, who bought land from the US Government and moved her family of seven sons and one daughter to the Bell City/Hayes area. Bazilene's husband was Joseph DeRouen, III, born November 29, 1802 and died July 16, 1848 in New Iberia. Both my grandparents on my mother's side were DeRouens. Renee'
