Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
I know a little more since my last posting about my husband's gg grandfather,Thomas Allen Druce, b. abt 1832 to Samuel & Mary Ann (Card) Druce in England. Samuel & Mary Ann were married on 16 Sep 1821 in Saint Mary, Newington, Surry, Eng. (IGI).
Thomas was one of 5 children of Samuel & Mary Ann who were christened at Saint Giles Cripplegate, London: Samuel Charles 1826, Honor Elizabeth 1828, Thomas Allen 1832, Jonathan Ambrose 1838, Joseph Richard William 1845. During the same years there were other Druce christenings at this church, possibly for children of Samuel Druce's relatives.
Thomas married Elizabeth Susannah Schultz, also born in London (1841). We don't know if they immigrated to NY before or after their marriage in about 1860. They had two known children: Thomas Allen Druce, jr. and Jeanette Elizabeth (gr-grandmother), b. 12 Apr 1867 and married John Canfield Wickes on 5 Jul 1891 in Brooklyn, NY.
Would love to find relatives and exchange information.
