Druce & Co.
Your furniture possibly came from the Baker Street Bazaar in London, which also sold drapery and other goods. I don't know much about the business itself. It was owned by one Thomas Charles Druce. He was quite a character. Born about 1794, he was married twice and had several children, not all of them legitimate. A son who migrated to Sydney, Australia, was also involved in retailing. For more information, check the messages regarding Thomas Charles Druce on this forum, and follow the link to the Portland/Druce case.
Would love to know more about the furniture my ancestor made or sold.
