Hello,

I am just beginning to research my Drue family roots and am a complete newcomer to genealogy.

The story I have been told is Great Grandpa Drue (I don't know a first name) was an orphan in Ireland. He came to America with his sister (again , no first name). She spelled her name Drew. He spelled his name Drue.

Great Grandpa and Great Grandma (again no name) had four sons - Richard, Nick, Bob, and Thomas. Great Grandpa was killed in a railroad accident where he worked. I think in California. Great Grandma moved with Richard, Bob, and Thomas to Ohio. Thomas was my grandfather.

Thomas married Norma and they had two children - Thomas (my father) and Collen. The lived in Columbus, Ohio.

I would really appreciate hearing any information about the Drues.

I am also quite curious about the name Drue. What country it is from? Does it mean anything?
