Drumgould-Mississippi to Texas

Does anyone have info about a Drumgould family moving from Mississippi to Montague or Bosque or Collin or Wise Counties in TX? Female was born Sep 1852, married Joe Bower/s, I have a death cert of her daughter Eva Smith from Bosque County, TX saying that her mother's name was COATIE DRUMGOULD. On the 1900 census mother is listed as race W. I have also noticed that the race listed for Mississippi Drumgoulds is MU or B but no whites. Cold this be as a result of the instructions given by the head of the Census Bureau to document Native Americans as either MU or B? BIGGGGG mystery. Please refer to 1900 Census Montague County TX Justice Precinct 8 Enumeration District 59 Sheet 18, Supervisors District 262. Ancestry.com says that they cannot verify the name of Bower/s on the census but I believe that their daughter was Evangelist?Eva Smith and the families lived next door to each other as the Smith is documented just above(families 345 and 346) Family is documented just above the Bower family.

Susan
