I don't know if is is of any help, but I am interested in a law clerk named 'William Alonzo Spragg" whom may have dropped the surname Drummond on account of marrying his cousin Dolores Drummond Green, and actress who called herself Dolores Drummond.

The reason your branch interests me is that Dolores's grandfather was the Scot's painter Samuel Drummond ARA (Father was a London baker with fierce Scots roots). The Spanish names like Dolores and Alonzo show up I believe as a result of Rosa Emma Drumon and Samuel Junior going to Mexico. They were all artists of a kind.

For me, I am trying to place William Alonzo Spragg Drummond and for that I'll have to search Scotland. The Alonzo name in Malonzo's line is of great importance as it is still used among descendants. I just wonder how spanish names came to be used in a Scots family.
