Have you tried to find them on the 1841 census index for Liverpool. If you can find them on that it should tell you where he and his parents were originally from, once you know that you should be able to trace where his parents were from. if you send for a birth certificate for young thomas it should give an address for where his parents were living which will give you an address to search for on the index. If you eventually connect them to denbigh or anglesey dryhursts I would love to hear from you as we have family members in both of these places. If I can help I certainly will as its nice to keep in touch with dryhursts as it a fairly uncommon name and you never know who you are connected to, as most times the dryhursts i have followed lead back to Denbigh. I have very tnetative links with liverpool as we have a christening at Greenlan Road independant chapel in Liverpool and we have a dryhurst on etiher an 1871 or 1861 census in Liverpool.
