Oswald DUBS (or DUBBS), d. 1843, York Co., PA
Posted by: David Myers (ID *****5457) Date: October 16, 2007 at 22:55:11
  of 22

I am looking for information on one of the children of this Oswald DUBS. The following information came from "Evidences of the Myers families of York and Adams counties [PA] before the year 1850" (FHL film #1036094, Items 5-6) -- Henry James Young.

Orphans' Court Dockets.
"V, 263. N 3, 1846. A guardian is appointed for the children of Peter and Sally Myers of Manheim township, who are legatees of Oswald Dubbs, viz. William, Isaac, Joseph."

This implies that Sally (DUBS) MYERS was deceased in 1843, and possibly Peter MYERS as well. This Peter MYERS probably is the Peter MEYERS who lived in Manheim Twp. in 1840, and was born 1791-1800.

Has anyone seen the estate records of Oswald DUBS so that they can verify, and possibly expand upon, the data in the Henry James Young book? Thanks very much for any help that can be provided.
