thanks for your comments. As I said before, I am not an expert on that family. My research are limited to what happened to its members while they lived in Québec. For the rest, what I know comes from persons like you, who descend from Fiacre Ducharme.
Now your are right in saying that the same names are often repeated in the same family. It's a problem, of course, but also a clue that someone may belong to a family and not an other. For instance, there were no Laurent, Dominique or Jean-Marie in the first generations of Charron-Ducharme family, while they were numerous among the descendents of Fiacre Ducharme and Marie Pacreau.
