Thanks for the reply Chris. I had no idea about the second marriage.I had been tracking them thru census records and his wife's name was always Elisabeth. He must have remarried while they were in Ontario. That explains why son Ovila had Mondor as his mother's maiden name on his death certificate, while Aristide had Deschenes. His date of birth was 1871, 2 years before the marriage. Was he really the child of Elisabeth Mondor or just considered her his mother beacuse of his young age at the time of the marriage? Do you have a date of death for his first wife?
