Bonjour Linda

Interesting information. However, it does not bring me any further. I never heard of a name like Lepouet, and was not able to find it anywhere.

The closest I get is a mariage between a Joseph Burelle and Amable Desautels, in 1839 in St-Jean-Baptiste de Rouville, QC. It could very well be the good one, since time frame is quite good and Burelle is not a very frequent name, but I don't see how Desautels could be heard as Lepouet.

Maybe Muriel has another idea.
