Valuable information, indeed. If Anthony came from Canada (and I would say from Quebec), his original name was likely Antoine, in French. I have many Antoine in my files, but no one married to Elizabeth Srumbly. This is not a French name. There could be a mispelling there. I also agree with the fact that Anthony was not born in France: there were no Ducharme in France, so to speak.
Looking back to previous messages in this forum, I find that their son Anthony married Mary Judge, likely around 1873 (you wrote 1853 in emssage # 1193, but likely that was a typo).
