Melina was my grandmother's sister and lived with her after George Bodeur's death until her own death on 8/23/1945 in Lowell, MA. She took care of my mother while my grandmother worked in the mills. When my grandmother, Luciana Marie Plouffe passed away, she left all kinds of birth/baptismal certificates, copies of mortuary bills, etc. which my mother Antoinette (Plouffe) Lafond has.
According to my mother, she has records that indicate that Rose Delima (Ducharme) Rondeau died around 1/4/1931 in Lowell, MA.
Rose Delima and Napoleon Rondeau are my great grandparents and,of course, my mom's grandparents. They lived in Lowell, Ma. Aunts and Uncles (Rose and Napoleon's children) Mom can remember include:
Adolphe (died about 1936 - 37, in Lowell married to _____)
Napoleon (married to Isabelle ___________)
George (married to Eva _____________)
Alec (married to Clara ______________)
Leontine (married to __________ Bertard)
Rose (married to _____________)
Luciana (my grandmother -- married to Rosario N. Plouffe)
Melina (Ducharme) and George Brodeur had a daughter, Marie-Louise Rose who was born on 11/23/1886 and died on 3/8/1912 (according to the bill for the headstone).
Mom says she thinks that in addition to Melina (also referred to as Emmelina), Rose Delima had other siblings, including:
Melina (also referred to as Emmelina), and
I read somewhere (probably in a search for Plouffe) that there may have been another 2 sisters. One may have been named Margarite. It is possible that one was living in Quebec when Melina died and when my grandfather (Rosario Plouffe) tried to have Melina's estate settled (there was no will), the lost sister in Quebec that the lawyer tracked down denied that she was related.
Sorry for the incomplete information. Mom said she would get her wedding book out and fill in the blanks as she can as her aunts and uncles were all at her wedding. She will also look for cousins on her mother's side.
Hope this is helpful!
