I don't have too much to go on. It is based on family oral history. Supposedly he had married a women of Potawatomi heritage and they had 3 children, a son named John L. Ducharme, another male child whose name I don't know and a daughter named Josephine who later married a man named Nicholas Smith or Schmid. I think the two boys were born in Canada and the daughter in Wilmette Illinois. I thought his wife was the grand daughter of Antonie Ouilmette and Archange Chevallier.Ouilmette's daughter Elizabeth married a Michael Welch in 1830. They had two children Catherine and Joseph. They divorced and she remarried Lucius Darling.They had six children. One of whom was named MaryAnn. I tried to see if it was Catherine or MaryAnn who married DuCharme. But I may well be barking up the wrong "tree". (Family tree that is)
