a good part of the answer was in message 1407 by Christine Kowal, on which I made comments in message 1409.

Aldea's father, Octave Ducharme, was the son of Edouard Ducharme and Justine Robert dit Lafontaine, that were married on Nov. 19, 1877 in Larochelle (now Becancour, QC). Octave and Edouard are from he Tetreault dit Ducharme family.
