Hi Muriel - No, I do not know his parents names nor exactly where he came from In Quebec. However, I have discovered that a lot of research has been done on the French Canadian families who immigrated to Iron County, Michigan where Louis Ducharme lived. This research has been published in a work which is currently in the Iron River, Iron County, Michigan Historical Society building. I do not know if Louis is mentioned in the book but even if he isn't I assume the book should give me some hints about his origin. According to the authors, apparently all or most of the French Canadians in the county came from the same place and/or are related. Thanks for your interest. George
