I have a FRANK RILEY m. to Georgianna CALDERWOOD with a son, Thomas RILEY who m. Lina LABARRE (Oliva+Marie GÉLINAS) 1935.07.04 in St. Augustin parish, Manchester, NH.
Do you think that he is the same person, who married Martha DUCHARME? I found this info in the above church registry, which I own.
There are so many JOSEPH DUCHARME's that there may be a mistake somewhere.
In the BOUFFORD & SONS Funeral Home Directory, Manchester, NH (which I also own), the MARY DUCHARME (Joseph+Olipe BERGERON) I have was b. 1876.12.02 (place not mentioned), d. 1946.01.09 in Manchester, NH, bur. 1946.01.08 in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Manchester, NH. She was married to Joseph DESROCHERS in 1894.07.03 in St. Georges parish, Manchester, NH (I also have this marriage directory & this is where I got her parents' name) & had been a resident of Manchester for the past 55 years. At time of death, she was a widow. Her parents are said to be from Saint-Albert, QC, but there's no mention of which County. There was a Saint-Albert-de-Warwick in Arthabaska County, QC & another Saint-Albert-de-Deschambault in Portneuf County, QC.
Actually, there are so many Joseph DUCHARME's & some had multiple marriages, so this is a mystery. Maybe Alice BERGERON & Alice TÉTREAULT are the same person & she is listed under a first marriage name in some places. Do you happen to know who are the parents of YOUR Joseph DUCHARME?
I have another daughter for Joseph+Alice BERGERON: Desneiges (Déneige) DUCHARME, m. Joseph PLOUDE/PLOURDE (Joseph+Marie DOUCET) 1885.09.07 in St. Augustin parish, Manchester, NH (I also own this marriage directory).
Since YOUR Joseph worked as a weaver in the mills, it wouldn't be surprising that he would have worked along the Merrimaack River in the mills of Manchester, NH sometime in his life. My mom & maternal grandmother (TURMEL/BOURGEOIS) worked there.
Any info you have would help us clear up the matter.
By the way, I'm a DUCHARME from manchester, NH, now residing in QC.
Please keep in touch & I'll share whatever info I have.
