Bonjour Pamela,

Mr Denomme died in 1996, when he was over 93. Needless to say his reasearches were done in the pre-Internet era! It was much harder then to collect information, but you would be surprised to see how much he was able to get. His book is over 750 pages, on most French families from Huron County, Ontario. The book is generally accurate, but like most genealogy works, it also contains mistakes, like the one I wrote about in my first email.

As for myself, I have been working on the genealogy of Ducharme families for 40 years. I have done a lot of research myself (in Québec archives and registers), and read most of what have been published on that matter (including that Forum). As president of the «Association des Charron & Ducharme», I am also in contact with dozens of persons all over North-America.

Have a fine week.
