Thanks for the response. Duchesneau is French. I have data back into France in the early 1600's and immigration into Quebec in the 1700's. I have not found any spelling variation as of yet. I you happen to reall the name you were trying to remember, please get back with me. Who knows, it might be a link. I do not suspect any German decent however.
