Looking for information on Antoine Du Chaine, also spelled Du Chesne, who appears in
New Utrecht, Kings Co., NY census . Name is mentioned in Baird, History of the Hugenot Emigration To America
but no source given. His will was proved at Staten Island, Richmond, County, NY on May 12, 1712.
According to a secondary source: "The Abridged Compendium of Genealogy" Vol 1: he had a wife
Annetje Boquet. Children named in will:
Jerome
Francyntje
Marytje
Jannetje
Valentine
Gerrit
Anna
Michael
Does anyone have information on birth, parents, place of origin, place and date of marriage?
Appreciate any citations to primary resources. Thanks.
S. Sauter
