Hi,
I am descended from Lucy Dudding, daughter of Arundel and Florence Dudding of Otham, Kent. Lucy was born around 1848.(as per 1881 census) I have no info on her parents and wondered if there was anyone out there who could fill me in. Lucy married Henry Robert Alkin and moved to South Africa. I have found a Kate Dudding who also married an Alkin and moved to Australia .. and then moved back to England.(She is listed as Kate Alkin in the 1881 census with children born both in England and Australia .. no husband on the scene?) Kate was christened in Otham .. so it is possible that she is a relative of my Lucy. Kate had sisters, Grace who was christened in Otham 19 Dec 1852 ..and, Alice christened 19 May 1845 and brother Alfred christened 24 Nov 1837 .. parents Phineas Dudding and Sarah Blackman.
