Dear Jacques
I am pretty sure that the family you are looking for is the Guillaume Duduit family that lived in Scioto Co, Ohio. I have been trying to connect my linage with them for awhile. Have not got it straightened out yet. He was born in France and came to America sometime after 1789. He was one of the first settlers in Scioto Co and lived in the French Grant given to the French settlers. You can find out more by going to www.scioto.org/Scioto/history/french-grant.html or try http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/d/i/d/Ben-L-Didway/BOOK-0001/0003-0001.html If you can't get through that way pull up Ben L Didway's family tree on family tree maker. He is the one that has the Duduit descendents. Hope this helps.
