Sorry for not having responded to your message earlier, I was just checking in at the web sight and saw your message which I have missed before, I cannot give you any leads to the Reigate Dudney's, but I am very interested in this Shermanbury line. When I was at Sussex County records I photocopied the Parish Records and have been trying to decipher them, which is not easy. I always thought that these records would be in beautiful copperplate writing, this is not the case. In fact the archvist told me that in small country parishes it all depended on how much the priest "was in his cups" as he wrote up the records if he drank to much the records would be almost illegable.
