Thank you for your reply. It certainly looks as though you are right and these are some of my relatives. The date that Stanley Dudney was born in 1900 is around about the year that i had worked out for my grandad and the fact that he was born in Plumstead makes me feel that this is him. The family names also seem to tie in with the relatives i already know about, my father was Leonard Henry and he was born in 1921, he also had 3 brothers Stanley, George and Roy. I am in the process of getting hold of my fathers birth certificate from one of my older brothers and i am going to try to get a copy of my grandads birth certificate.I am also interested in finding out what my grandmothers maiden name was as this is where my Romany connection is. When i have more concrete information i will let you know as it does seem as though we are related somewhere along the line.
Thanks once again as this has given me something more to work with.
