Dear Kay, I also have Dudney's in Madison County, Iowa (Roxie Jane, daughter of Abraham Lincoln Dudney and Mary Matilda Harris, was my great grandmother). I have a will for her grandfather, Abraham Dudney, probated in Parke County, Indiana April 1846 which states that he leaves money to the grandchildren of his deceased daughters Hannah Marler and Mary Holeman. My question is, if his daughter Mary was dead in 1846, who is the Mary showing up with William Holeman in 1850? I have followed this Mary into Iowa and she is shown living in Madison County in 1870 as head of household with children. I am wondering what the source verification is for Mary being wife of WILLIAM Holeman. Any ideas?? Jan Rambow
