Abby, I believe we are related. Thomas father was Thomas Duney (misspelling of Dudney) christened 15 April 1770 in Shermanbury, Sussex he married Martha Attree, c. 1784 Shermanbury. Thomas and Martha married May 4, 1813 in Cowfold, Sussex. Their children were Ann Deudney 1814, Mary Dudney 1816, Sarah 1819, Caroline 1821, Thomas 1823, and Samuel 1825 all christened as Dudney.

I have managed to trace the family back to the early 1700ís. The Dudney name in the Shermanbury records has been spelt as Duney, Duny, and Dewdney. Makes some interesting research.
