I have found a page from the DUDNEY~ODOM Famiy Bible. Arthur DUDNEY, son of Arthur DUDNEY & Charlotte Horton DUDNEY of Stewart County Georgia, was born-11 June 1832 in Washington Co. Ga. He moved to Bossier Parish Louisiana and married Elizabeth Jane Odom 5 August 1858. She was daughter of Asa Odom & Rebecca Grimsley. They had 4 children:

1.) Mary Charlotte "Mollie" DUDNEY-Born-29 Oct. 1866. She married James Samuel Rodgers.
Their children were: Charles Arthur, Ethel & James Tennyson Rodgers.

2.) John T. DUDNEY-Born-25 Sept.1871. He married Myrtice Turnley. He owned a store in Plain Dealing, Louisiana in Bossier Parish.
They had one son, Howell DUDNEY, died infancy.

3.) Nancy C. DUDNEY-Born-21 Dec. 1873. She married J. Henry Godfrey. They had a daughter, Mattie Godfrey.

4.) Elizabeth Rebecca DUDNEY-Born-21 March 1876. She married Nathan Nixon New.
Their children were: Nannie Mae, Ella Lee, Madge, Arthur, Clifford & Ruth New.

It was wonderful to find this page from the DUDNEY~ODOM Bible. I was always wondering if Nancy was a daughter to Arthur DUDNEY and this proves she was !!
No matter what KEEP DIGGING !!
