A.L. Dudney born 2/18/1826 in Tennessee moved to Parke Cty, In where he married Mary M. Harris March 1, 1846. They had 3 children before moving on to Clarke Cty Ia where they
had three more children before moving on to Madison Cty, Iowa. I got this information via census records and birth and death certs.
Am currently seeking Mary M. Harris Dudney's
death certificate for her parentage/siblings.
But both ended up in Clarke County before they died. I am as puzzled as you but hope the death certificate will clear things up.
One of their children could have settled in
Clarke and when their parents became too old to take care of moved in with children in Clarke. Pure speculation on my part Cousin.
