John: Sorry I have been so slow in getting back with you. Hubby on vacation this week and had plenty of yardwork to attend to.
So far I have this on my line of Arthur DUDNEY-Born-1772 in Anson Co. N. Carolina (son of John DUDNEY & Elizabeth) Arthur DUDNEY did marry an Elizabeth in Anson Co. N. Carolina 14 Dec. 1792. They had at least 7 children as per the census. I have only 2 sons so far. Arthur DUDNEY & Henry DUDNEY. Arthur DUDNEY is listed as 'Abraham' DUDNEY in some place but he was Arthur DUDNEY-Born-@1793 Anson Co. N. Carolina and he married Charlotte HORTON. She was born in Anson Co. N. Carolina in 1799. Arthur DUDNEY (1772) and his wife Elizabeth and all the children moved from Anson Co. N. Carolina to Washington Co. Georgia in 1816 when Henry DUDNEY was a newborn. Arthur DUDNEY (1793) and his wife Charlotte HORTON DUDNEY moved to Stewart Co. Georgia in 1833. Their children were:

1.) Sarah DUDNEY-1821-1914. She married Travis USHER and had 9 children: George, Charlotte, Thomas, James, Sarah, John, Nancy, Alice & David USHER.

2) Abraham DUDNEY-Born-1823. Never married.

3.) Pleasant Howard DUDNEY-Born-1828. He married 3 times. First to Harriett Ann DIXON in 1848 Stewart Co. Ga. and had 3 daus.: Elzabeth, Charlotte & Hepsy Ann DUDNEY.Pleasant married second to Ermon HAYGOOD in 166 in Bossier Parish, Louisiana. They had 5 children: Richard, Arthur, Tellis, Comlate & Nettie DUDNEY. Pleasant married third to Hannah SMITH. They lived in Kaufman Co. Texas in 1880 and moved to Ellis Co. Tx. shortly after where Pleasant & Hannah SMITH DUDNEY had twin daughters born in 1881, names were Lula & Lela DUDNEY. In 1885 there was a "fever epidemic and Pleasant, Hannah & Lela DUDNEY all died. Pleasant Howard DUDNEY was my GGG-Grandfather and his first wife, Harriett DIXON was my GGG-Grandmother. Their daughter, Charlotte Harriett DUDNEY was my GG-Grandmother and she was born-11 June 1851 and died in Bossier Par. La. 7 Sept. 1877. She married Hartwell Marion MATLOCK 7 January 1869.

4.) Arthur DUDNEY-Born-1833. He married Elizabeth Jane ODOM in Bossier Par. La. in 1858. Arthur DUDNEY died in 1916. His children were: Mary Charlotte "Mollie", John T., Nancy C., & Elizabeth R. DUDNEY.

5.) John DUDNEY-Born-1835. He was killed in the Civil War CSA 1862.

6) Nancy DUDNEY-Born-1838. She married William ABBOTT and they lived in Lumpkin, Ga. in Stewart Co. They had no children.

7.) Tyler DUDNEY-Born-1841 (female) lived with her sister Sarah DUDNEY USHER. Never married.

May have been other children born to Arthur & Charlotte HORTON DUDNEY.
Charlotte HORTON DUDNEY lived to the ripe old age of 97 yrs. old and died in Lumpkin, Ga. Stewart Co. Ga. in 1896. Said to be the 'oldest member of the Lumpkin Baptist Church' and buried East Side Baptist Church Cemetery. I do have a photo of her.

Now about the ROSS family. Jeanne CARVER that posts on this forum is off the line of Mary DUDNEY UPCHURCH sister to your Sarah DUDNEY ROSS. Let me know if you need UPCHURCH info.
