Linda: You asked if Abraham & John DUDNEY were brothers...so many Abrahams it is to easy to get confused!! I have Abraham DUDNEY-Born @1735 in Maryland, (son of Abraham & Sarah GRIFFIN) married a woman named Mary. They had 5 sons and 3 daughters. Their sons were: John, Arthur, Abraham, Barnes & William DUDNEY. Can't find the 3 daughters. These 5 sons left Maryland and went to North & South Carolina. John DUDNEY is my line, he went to Montgomery & Anson Counties in North Carolina, his wife was named Elizabeth. John & Elizabeth DUDNEY had children known:
1.) Arthur DUDNEY-Born-@1772-married Elizabeth. (My line)
2.) James DUDNEY-
3.) Mary DUDNEY-mar. Allen UPCHURCH
4.) Sarah DUDNEY-mar. Wiley ROSS
5.) Nancy DUDNEY-Mar.S.S. PAGE
6.) Elizabeth DUDNEY-Mar. Howell UPCHURCH
7.) daughter
James DUDNEY, I believe went to South Carolina. I have no info on Nancy DUDNEY that marred Mr. PAGE. There are people on this DUDNEY GenForum related to the UPCHURCH's and the ROSS's. My Arthur DUDNEY above had a son, Arthur that married Charlotte HORTON in Anson Co. N. Carolina and they went to Washington Co. Ga. in 1816 then to Lumpkin, Ga. in Stewart County in 1833 where Arthur DUDNEY Jr. died there in 1848 and Charlotte HORTON DUDNEY lived to the ripe old age of 97 yrs. and died 1896. Their son, Pleasant Howard DUDNEY-Born-1828 and died 1885 was my GGG-Grandfather.
