Hi,
I have an observation on the surname Duensing. Looking at many of the surnames from Nordrebber, Rodewald, Gilten, and surrounding areas:
Clausing
Dierking
Duensing
Pauling
Volberding
In this case, I believe the -ing suffix is an artifact of the former local dialect meaning "son of" or "family of", much as in the same way in Vorpommern the suffix -ke means the same thing.
With "Duens" alone it is not so apparent, but if you can imagine a settlement with 5 men, Claus, Dierk, Duens, Paul, and Volberd, and their subsequent generations of families, this becomes a real possibility.
