Florence Duer in Columbiana, Ohio

Florence Duer is my gg-grandpa. On my gg-grandma's Death Certificate he is called Florentine. He has been my "Brick Wall" for a number of years. According to his Civil War records he was born in Columbiana, Ohio in 1833. Nowhere does it state who his parents/family are. He enlisted in Pennsylvania 15th Co. K for the Union at Pittsburgh. His records state he was a Saddler. Am not sure what year he married my gg-grandma, Catherine Gunderman, but they had 8 children,(Kate, Laura, Henrietta, Charles, George, Conrad, Annie) and the youngest of which was my g-grandma Irene Duer. I also do not know the year of his death but I believe it is between 1878 and 1880. My g-grandmother was born in 1877, registered 1878. He is not on the 1880 census and Catherine is a widow. In the 1870 census his name is spelled "Dear", and he is listed as a laborer in a sawmill. He states that his parents were born in Pennsylvania. I also do not know where he is buried, but many of my ancestors lie in Allegheny Cemetery. Does anyone out there know to whom this man belongs? I would really appreciate any information or leads. I have just about exhausted all research on him. Thanks so much. Mary
