Irene, yes. I'd love to have the contact. Please feel free to send privately, off list to treviawbeverly@comcast.net
I'm just finishing up with the narrative of Salem Lutheran Cemetery in the Rosehill area. I'm sure you know that Christian Duer was the first postmaster there. The area became known as New Kentucky, although covering a much wider area than normally though of. I compiled "At Rest: A Historical Directory of Harris County, Texas, Cemeteries (1822-2001) Including Burial Customs and Other Interesting Facts, With a Listing of Past and Present Communities, Funeral Home and Monument Companies." 1st Edition 1994; 2nd Edition enlarged from 307 to 509 cross-indexed listings. Duer Family Cemetery is sure one I missed- unless under a different name. Anyway, would love to continue this with you and/or the other local family member -- will to share anything I have or come up with.
Trevia
