Joseph Duer (d. abt 1818) Annapolis, MD

Hello. I have just discovered the DUER line in my family and I am in need of assistance.

I found some Chancery Papers in Annapolis when I searched my GRIMES family. It seems Joshua Grimes (b 1775) married an Elizabeth Duer and the Chancery Papers were concerning a DUER case. Here is what I learned when I went to Annapolis to see the actual papers:

Joseph Duer (d. bef 1818 in Anne Arundel County, Maryland)
+Unknown Unknown

Children:

1. Letitia Duer married James McNeill
2. Deborah Duer married Robert Stockdale
3. Alice Duer married Isaac/Jacob Miller
4. Elizabeth Duer married Joshua Grimes
5. Mary Duer married John Briggs
6. John Duer
7. Charles Duer
8. Sarah Duer
9. Joseph Duer
10. Amasa Duer (this is a male)
11. Thomas Duer

I do not know the birth order of these children but I do know that several of them lived in Pennsylvania according to the papers and had lived there for some time. The papers were filed in 1818.

Can anyone help? I have been told that it is possible that this Joseph Duer is the son of Joseph Duer who was son of Thomas Duer and Ellen Banes/Baines. According to a message I received from someone researching this Joseph Duer son of Thomas Duer and Ellen, their son Joseph Jr. spent some time in Annapolis and had some descendants there.

If anyone can help I would be most grateful.

Thanks.
