There are two other Duer lines in Maryland and Virginia. One was descended from John and Elizabeth Duer who arrived in Somerset Maryland Jan 4 1671, emigrated from Virginia, I think it was probably Jamestown. They are listed in a book called They lived in Somerset, by Gust Skordes. There was also a Joseph Duer and Ann Hampton from Bucks County who might have moved to Accomack Co Virginia, had a son James Hampton Duer. born April 10 1792 died in Accomack. We have James and Joshua Duer from Worcester Maryland. Their father was William Duer from John Duer line from Somerset. If you email J. Grayson Duer who lives in Virginia he might send you or email back some info that might help you. His email is Tell him cousin Jean from Jersey sent you. I have more info that might help. My line is from Maryland, but not sure if it's from John of Somerset or Joseph of Bucks County Pa. Since my ggggrandfather was a James H. Duer, we don't know if the H is for Hollingshead or Hampton. It could be from either, since the dates are good for either. Well I have to get to work. If I can help you. Just email me at my name is Jean Duer Ashe.
