I recently was at the dentist and was asked if I was of native indian ancestry. I said no, being that I was confident that I was a 2nd generation American with 4 grandparents born in Quebec. The dentist mentioned that based on the shape of my lateral incisors, that this shape was common in native indian genetics. I gave some thought and realized that the history I know of is mostly from my father's side. So I've starting digging into my mother's side of the family, surname "Duford".
I don't know much about the Duford side. I've been able to find some detailed history regarding my mother's mother via some other geneology research. But I hav enot had the smae luck regarding my grandfather and his ancestry.
This is what I know:
Henri Duford (b. 16 Oct 1912, d. Apr 1984)
Some records swapped the "I" for a "Y" and he's listed as "Henry".
More about Henri...
"Laudia Hébert (daughter of Roch Léonard Hébert and Armenie Legendre). She married Henri Duford."
So what I am looking for is more from that Duford side. I really had no relationship after the age of 5 with anyone on that side of the fmaily. I know that I have uncles and cousins in Hooksett, NH still that are Dufords.
I'm more curious into learning more about Henri Duford's lineage before his birth in 1914.
If anyone has any information that might help me, I would greatly appreciate it. I can me reached at:
