I am also looking for my ancestors in the West Indies, in particular a James Duffus, a planter of Stoker Hall, St Thomas, Jamaica.
Born about 1840. His son David Alexander Macpherson Duffus, my grandfather, was the Vicar of St Vincent Isle, 1870-1912, Married Bertha Branch. The macpherson as a first name may indicate the surname of his mother, i.e.James' wife. any help welcome.
