I have the death certificate for Ellen Carpenter and she died the 11th of April 1913 in Jackson Co. Mo. and it was signed by a Lizzie Dugan who was the wife of William A. Dugan the son of James and Anna Crone Dugan. Lizzie states that the parents of Ellen are Wm Dugan and Harret Walker. This is the first death certificate of any of these siblings that I have found.
My Dugan ancestor was Isaac Franklin Dugan and I found an article in the Randolph Kansas paper for 1908 that a Mrs. Mary Ellen Carpenter had come from Kansas City, Mo to visit Isaac F. Dugan and family.
I knew that Silas and Mary Ellen came to Riley CO. Ks. about 1880. Silas has a plot in the May Day Cemetery but doesn't show anyone buried there. Silas died about 1895 and Ellen and one daughter left and went to Wyandotte Co. Kansas. Their daughter Aldora married a Dodd and is buried close to her mother. Daughter Mary Elizabeth married Isaac Dugan the son of Sutton Fowler Dugan.
